Telle Whitney: How to Support Female Entrepreneurs In India

Bangalore recently hosted the 2016 Grace Hopper Celebration (India) where one of the more prominent topics discussed was that of entrepreneurship. Often times, female entrepreneurs in India struggle to receive funding for their startups, and also find it difficult to network in such a “boys-only” field. ABI’s President and CEO Telle Whitney spoke with the Times of India about ways to encourage more women to become entrepreneurs. “[Women] struggle sometimes because we end up doubting ourselves and don’t have the confidence that we can grow big,” Telle explained. “My dream is to have one Flipkart-like company by a woman.”
